Julip Made Smoke Salmon Endive2 New Year's Eve is a time to focus on your guests and welcoming in the new year, not fussing over tricky appetizers.  These smoked salmon endive bites and honey thyme brie are two of the simplest, yet most delicious small bites, perfect for any party.  See below for recipes and for a few more of my favorite easy small bites to serve this New Year's Eve.
Julip Made easy holiday appetizer Honey Thyme Brie
  • 1 wheel of Brie (I used the truffle cream brie from Trader Joe's)
  • 1 tablespoon clover honey
  • 3 sprigs thyme
  • crackers
  1. Place the brie on a cheese board.
  2. Drizzle with honey.
  3. Sprinkle thyme on top.
  4. Serve with crackers and enjoy!
Julip Made Smoke Salmon Endive1 Smoked Salmon Endive Bites
  • 1 8 oz package of smoked salmon, cut into 1 inch pieces.
  • 3 large Belgian endives, leaves pulled apart
  • several leaves of dill, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup crème fraîche
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated horseradish
  1. Mix the crème fraîche with the horseradish.
  2. Place Belgian endive leaves on a platter.
  3. Place a slice of smoked salmon on each leaf.  Add a small dollop of horseradish crème fraîche on top of each piece of salmon.  
  4. Garnish with a piece of dill and enjoy!
