ORANGE SPICED MANHATTAN

Allspice dram might be my new favorite holiday liqueur.  It has the warmth and cheer of the holidays wrapped up in one bottle.  It can be added to many classic cocktails for a festive boost.  In this orange spiced Manhattan, it goes well with the hints of cinnamon and fragrance of the orange.  Try this as a signature cocktail at your next holiday party!
Ingredients:
(to serve 1)

• 2 oz rye whiskey
• 1/2 oz sweet vermouth
• 1/4 oz allspice dram
• 2 dashes blood orange bitters
• 1 whole star anise
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 orange slice

1. Mix the whiskey, sweet vermouth and allspice dram in a cocktail shaker over ice.
2. To serve, you can either strain or leave the ice in into chilled cocktail glasses.
3. Garnish with the allspice, cinnamon stick, and orange slice and enjoy!
