Julip Made Glam Halloween Dinner party1 Although Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, I don't like to go overboard buying decorations specific to the holiday that can only be used once a year (see here for some ideas).   This glam Halloween dinner party allowed me to use some of my go to entertaining pieces and items I had around the house, like my black pashmina.  I used black, gold, and red accents to stay away from the typical orange and black color scheme and make it feel more elegant.  The brass candle sticks, black taper candles, and red votive holders provided eerie flickering light and can also be reused for the holidays.  A simple arrangement in a hollowed out, black spray painted pumpkin complimented the tablescape and gave a nod the the traditional jack-o-lanterns.  In addition to the dinner, a dessert table full of candy "poison" apples and dark chocolate, oozing with blood colored strawberries and fleur de sel cake provided a sweet end to the evening.

  1. Love this approach -- I've been seeing a lot of more glammed up Halloween this year and I must say I love it SO much more than cheesy decorations, and way more functional too!
