Aside from the unique theme, bright decor, amazing florals, and lovely bride, this Dia de los Muertos themed bridal shower was one of my favorite events to plan to date because of... the FOOD. I love Mexican food and jumped at the chance to plan this menu. This menu is fairly easy to pull together and much of it can be made ahead. It can also be used for Cinco de Mayo or other fiesta party!
To Start:
- Guacamole & Chips
- Pico de Gallo (mild & spicy! - recipe forthcoming on the blog)
- Roasted Chipotle Sweet Potatoes (recipe forthcoming on the blog)
- Spiced & Shredded Chicken
- Slow Simmered Black Beans (recipe forthcoming on the blog)
- Sofrito Rice (I mix cooked rice with Sofrito sauce... literally that is it and it is DELICIOUS!)
- Grilled Corn with Honey-Ancho Chile
- Cilantro Lime Slaw (A take on my Chipotle Lime Slaw- Hold the jicama and sub cilantro for Chipotle)
- Shredded Queso Fresco
- Pickled Red Onions and Radishes
- Chipotle Crema
- Blue Corn Tortillas

This was the best bridal shower ever thrown in the history of all bridal showers, and it never would have happened without you, Julie. Absolutely stunning, down to the tiniest details...thank you again, I cannot tell you how much it meant to me!
