Julip Made color craving burnt sienna
Photos by Phil Oh via Vogue
While colors like emerald green, purple, and cobalt are getting their 15 minutes this fall, there are some fall colors that I always rely on and pull out of the closet season after season.  Burnt sienna is one of those colors.  It adds that touch of earthiness while still looking classic and polished.  Think leather-bound books and professor's briefcases, but more stylish like this.  Burnt sienna also has the ability to act as a base to wear some of the more vibrant trendy colors of the season and yet it also pairs equally well with other bases such as black.

To me this color just exudes Fall and coziness.  Part of me also thinks I gravitate towards this color because it reminds me of my days in the barn, cleaning saddles and bridles of the same color.  What colors do you look to during this time of year?

  1. I completely agree! I've declared the burnt sienna cardigan to be my personal unicorn. I thought I found a near perfect version at LOFT, but the cut wasn't great on me. Any other suggestions?

  2. This is the perfect slight diversion from the overkill of oxblood and burgundy tones -- particularly drawn to that watch!
