PROJECT MAISON: THAT TIME WE BOUGHT A HOUSE

Julip Made new house before pictures2
If you follow me on instagram you may have already seen/heard, but for those of you who don't (you should ;)) we recently bought our very first home!  Thus the reason for my major MIA status.  It has been a whirlwind of activity including ripping up carpeting, sanding, staining, painting, spackling, etc.. but in the end it will definitely be worth it.  I'll be documenting and sharing the process as we renovate and it a home in a new "Project Maison" series.  If you want to see where we're moving from, check out "Project Apartment" here.  Below are a few of the before pictures and some of my ideas...

PS. If you are looking to rent or buy in the DC metro area, us Cat from here.  Seriously best realtor ever.  Made the entire process super easy, low stress, and found this gem for us working on a holiday.  The girl works her butt off and will find you the perfect place!

  6. Congratulations on the new house. I'm so glad I found your blog today since I have also started documenting my house hunting and hopefully buying adventures. We're in attorney review right now and it's about to drive me crazy. It all feels so grown up, right? Again, congratulations and good luck. I'll keep checking in to see what you're up to. Please take a look at my blog. I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying yours.
