This is one of my all time favorite summer appetizers. It highlights the two best summer flavors: fresh, ripe tomatoes, and basil. This is also the perfect quick bite to serve when entertaining in a pinch.
- heirloom tomatoes
- olive oil
- coarse sea salt
- Chop up the tomatoes into wedges (add red onion if you want).
- Serve tomatoes on a platter with minced basil and salt.
- Serve burrata in a bowl with olive oil and coarse sea salt.
