Welcome to February, or in blog world, Valentine's Day month. For those of you who are not completely enamored with this month/ day, the Good Old Fashioned Heartbreak cocktail is for you. This drink acknowledges the sweetness of the holiday with a dash of grenadine, but then makes a powerful, non-romantic statement with the kick of the Hellfire bitters. See below for ingredients and recipe...

Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Bourbon
- 3 dashes Bittermen's Hellfire Bitters (found at Salt and Sundry)
- 1/2 teaspoon grenadine
- splash ginger ale
- 1 blood orange slice
- 1 lemon twist
- In a shaker over ice, mix bourbon, bitters, and grenadine.
- Pour into glass over ice (or awesome large ice ball made with this).
- Top with ginger ale.
- Garnish with blood orange slice and lemon twist.
- Enjoy!
