The European Diaries: Bienvenue à La Ville-Lumière

663b
Musee D'Orsay in the old Gare D'Orsay.
I've fallen in love with Paris before back in high school on a study abroad trip, but after this trip, I can definitely say I am head over heels in love.  If you've been following along with the European Diaries, this is our final destination on that trip from Portugal with a side trip to Spain, we ended up in Paris, La Ville-Lumière.  I was initially only going to have one installment for Paris, but folks, after going through  my pictures, I just couldn't possibly fit all of Paris' goodness into one post (I really tried).  See more pictures after the jump...

The clock at Musee D'Orsay.

Beautiful metal plated lights in one of the cafes at Musee D'Orsay.  I was obsessed with them.

Another cafe at Musee D'Orsay.  Absolutely stunning ceiling and lighting.

The general layout of the D'Orsay.

View of the Louvre and the Seine from the top of the Musee D'Orsay.

The Seine.  I can only imagine how beautiful this same shot would be in the fall.

The Seine and Les Bateaux Mouches.

La meilleure glace dans tout le monde- Maison Berthillion.  My favorite was pamplemousse (grapefruit) and orange sanguine (blood orange). The boys got noisette and chocolat.

Sitting on the banks of the Seine eating our SECOND Maison Berthillion icecream of the day watching the sunset and les Bateux Mouches pass by= perfection.

Stay tuned for the rest of the European Diaries: Paris later this week. If you want even more, check out my tumblr for some outtakes and photos not shared on the blog.
