Catedral de Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Spain at sunset. |
Today is the second installment of
the European Diaries and centers around our travels in northwestern Spain, also known as the autonomous community of Galicia. This area is similar in terrain to northern Portugal and with equally good food and wine. Our main destination, along with thousands of others who have traveled on "
The Way" was Santiago de Compostela, a beautiful little town labelled as de Compostela as early as the 10th century. Along with historic resources, this area is full of stunning beaches, and vineyards.
See below for more details of our trip.
