If Bloggers Ruled the World... with Kate from The Forgetful Wife

Today's IBRTW participant is someone who I'd love to meet in person because she is full of creative energy and shares a similar passion to me, which you'll see if you read more!  I think we are also at similar stages in our "creative lives" and trying to figure out that next step.  Her blog is a creative outlet to share her adventures in domesticity including culinary explorations, an eye for fashion and clean design, and fun snippets into her life including her adorable pups.  Also, although she says culinary attempts, this lady can whip up a Pinterest worthy meal on a constant basis.  Please welcome the fabulous and beautiful Kate Wolfson from The Forgetful Wife.

I know I've said it before here, but I really can't urge you all enough to please consider rescuing a dog before you look into alternative options.  There are numerous rescue organizations that have wonderful dogs like What's Up Dog! LA.  If you are interested in a specific breed, consider breed rescue for example I wanted a Belgian Malinois, so I went to ABMC Malinois Rescue and ended up with the most perfect pup in the world.. Odin!

If buying a dog is the best option for your family, please please please do your research.  First and foremost, DON'T buy from a petstore or "puppy" store, which is typically code for puppy mill.  Secondly, do your research with regards to what dog breed will suit your family's lifestyle the best.  So many rescue's get "Christmas puppies" turned into them because the family bought a dog breed without fully comprehending their physical and mental needs.  Thirdly, do your research to find a reputable breeder who is more concerned with the long-term health and well being of the individual dog and the breed over showing or making money.  Lastly, unless you are showing in the confirmation ring or plan on eventually breeding your dog (after they've gotten a clean bill of health/ temperament) SPAY or NEUTER your dog!

Ok I'm off my soapbox, but I do feel these are important things to share so thank you Kate for bringing them up on the blog and sharing something with us that you are passionate about!  Make sure to check out Kate's inspiring blog and the beautiful redesign she just did for it!
