Grilled Peach Ginger Old Fashioned

I created this Grilled Peach Ginger Old Fashioned for surprise birthday party we threw when my brother was in town visiting.  His favorite cocktail is an Old Fashioned and for an added hint of summer and sweetness I added the ginger and the peach.  The grilled peach also added the perfect smoky hint to tie the cocktail into our party fare.
Ingredients:

• 3 ounces ginger beer
• 1 ounce whiskey
• 1/2 ounce peach simple syrup
• dash of bitters
• peach slices, grilled

1. Mix peach simple syrup, dash of bitters, and whiskey over ice.
2. Pour into glass and fill the rest of the glass with ginger beer. 
3. Garnish with a grilled peach slice. 
4. Enjoy!
