More after the jump...

This winter marked my introduction into the world of beauty. This is not to say that I didn't wear makeup before this, but after a 2 hour shopping extravaganza in December at Sephora with my mother, I like to think I've made it as a walk-on to the varsity beauty squad. We spent hours learning from the associate about things like primers and rose petal powder foundations that take years off and spent at least another hour just gazing at all of the various shades of everything available. To put it simply... we were in awe.

Since then, I've been experimenting with a myriad of bright lip shades (magenta, red, burgundy), but with spring coming have several other shades and trends I want to try. Think dewy, blushing face, bright happy colors (on lips and nails), and uncomplicated hair (natural waves and easy buns).

What trend's are you looking forward to most this spring? Are you more adventurous or demure with your makeup?

  2. I've also been experimenting with bright lip color (mostly red), but I'd like to try using some more pinks. I need something to perk me up this spring!

I have naturally straight hair that I occasionally complain about, but since it takes a ridiculous amount of product and time to get it to do anything besides lay straight, I usually surrender. I'd like to play around with creating loose curls with a curling iron this spring but I need to investigate curling irons. Where does one start?!

I'd also like to find a new blush to use. I mostly use Tarte's cheek stain in natural beauty, but I'm thinking about picking up NARS Orgasm blush. Have you used it?

  3. It's funny because I really like makeup and invest in it, but always stay to a neutral color palette and conservative look. I'm just not really adventurous with it! I've tried doing fun lip shades, many of the ones you mentioned, but the boy doesn't really like bright lips so now they're reserved for work only.
