Laser cut to me is the less revealing more graphic version of cut-outs. It provides just a peak of what is underneath, skin or contrasting fabric, without giving away everything. Depending on the level of intricacy, laser cut can act as a print by itself. Initially my love of laser cut only applied to accessories and other smaller items, but after seeing the Chloe Sevigny for Open Ceremony collection and that gorgeous leather dress she wore to present in, my mind has changed.
Would you wear laser cut? If so how much... keep it to accessories only or go for the whole shebang?

The shoes are lovely!

Oh man, I've been coveting that neon clutch for so long. Maybe it's time...
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I especially love that Topshop dress but it would require the correct undergarments. I think laser cut is a fun take on lace!
ReplyDeleteI really like this look! I'm even looking into it for invitation designs! So fun!
ReplyDeleteI would consider it on a shoe, but I'm not ballsy enough for a laser cut dress!
ReplyDeleteoh that Alaia bag in pic #1...swoon!
