French 95

087 This was a drink we whipped up for our mini- Oscar party in celebration of the slew of French movies that were nominated and took home some gold little statues. I'm not much of a bourbon/ whiskey drinker, but paired with the citrus, champagne, and dash of simple syrup... it takes the edge off and is the perfect blend.
See after the jump for ingredients and recipe...

079 Ingredients:
  • 3/4 ounce bourbon
  • 3/4 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce OJ
  • champagne (rest of glass)
  • lemon peel, for garnish
083
  1. Mix bourbon, simple syrup, orange juice and lemon juice in shaker over ice.  Pour in glass.
  2. Fill rest of glass up with champagne.
  3. Garnish with lemon peel.
082 How did you all celebrate the Oscars?  Happy weekend friends!
