Raspberry Mint Lemonade with raspberries and mint I picked in the country. via.
It has been a long week and I have been a bad blogger/ follower, but not without reason.  Way back when we first moved in to our new apartment, we bought the Ikea Kivik Sofa in gray/brown with the intentions of buying the additional chaise later on once we bounced back from moving costs a bit.  Turns out the chaise in our color was out of stock and continued to be for 6 months or so.  The other day, while browsing Ikea, I saw that it was in stock (side note, the Boy G-chatted me almost within the hour to tell me it was in stock... what can I say, we are both Ikea nerds).  Well we jumped on it and went to Ikea that night to pick it up and then set it up and attached is to the sofa last night.  Now we have Mega Sofa that can comfortably seat Boy, Odin, and I at the same time (Odin has already claimed the chaise addition as "his spot").  See here for image.  This weekend I have some major plans for catching up, which include...
Finally attending to my abandoned nails and maybe adding some sparkle. via.
Making some home made stationary on my 25 for 25 List. via.
Or maybe these... via.
Maybe I'll finally get around to staging my kitchen and taking pictures to show y'all. It is the only room I consider mildly complete so far in the apartment. via.

Finally, for your entertainment, but probably mostly mine... some funnies.  These are my peeps and my constant entertainment.

2 year old attempts to play with 12.5 year old... with little to no success, but attempts are funny.

Beware of the killer green water monster... common habitat includes back yards, lawns, flower beds. I wish I were that easily amused.  Oh wait, I am because I filmed it for a good few minutes.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

  5. So important to have a comfy sofa. Glad you guys got that figured out. My own sofa was definitely built more for looks than pleasure. Sad.
