Another product of the 4th of July Party mixing session... Blueberry Rosemary Fizz. I was outside showing friends the garden and the rosemary was so fragrant that I had to figure out a way to mix it into a cocktail. It also happens to be my favorite herb. It is a bit too strong of a flavor to add directly into the cocktail for example muddling it in the glass because the rosemary flavor would dominate. However, it works perfectly to add fragrance and to act as a skewer for the fresh blueberries.
Ingredients:
- 3 oz club soda
- 1 oz blueberry infused vodka
- fresh blueberries
- rosemary skewer

- Mix the blueberry vodka and club soda in a glass over ice.
- Warning don't shake in a cocktail shaker... outcome will be blueberry fizz explosions.
- Skewer the fresh blueberries with the rosemary and place in glass. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteDarn it, my husband keeps trying to get me to like rosemary and I just haven't been able to get past the smell. It's a little too strong for me. One day. I mean, I never thought I'd like onions and now I love 'em. I also need to make fancier drinks.
ReplyDeleteYum. Fizzy cocktails work so well in the heat.
ReplyDeleteAnd I forgot to ask - how did last week go with your deadlines?!?
