Pick-Me-Up... Blueberry Rosemary Fizz

Another product of the 4th of July Party mixing session... Blueberry Rosemary Fizz.  I was outside showing friends the garden and the rosemary was so fragrant that I had to figure out a way to mix it into a cocktail.  It also happens to be my favorite herb.  It is a bit too strong of a flavor to add directly into the cocktail for example muddling it in the glass because the rosemary flavor would dominate.  However, it works perfectly to add fragrance and to act as a skewer for the fresh blueberries.

  • 3 oz club soda
  • 1 oz blueberry infused vodka
  • fresh blueberries
  • rosemary skewer

  1. Mix the blueberry vodka and club soda in a glass over ice.
  2. Warning don't shake in a cocktail shaker... outcome will be blueberry fizz explosions.
  3. Skewer the fresh blueberries with the rosemary and place in glass.  Enjoy!
What are your favorite herbs? Do you like them in your cocktails or are you a strictly fruit, cherry, olive type of gal?

  1. This looks amazing and luckily I have all the ingredients in my home! Definitely making this!

  2. genius!! i've been loving basil recently :)

  3. Pretty pictures! I just got some blueberries and might have to give this a whirl. If only it were a bit warmer here!

  4. Glad to have you back! I missed your recipes that make me drunk ;)

  5. I need one of these. Stat. (c: Glad to have you back, girl, hopefully things are slowing down for ya!

  6. Darn it, my husband keeps trying to get me to like rosemary and I just haven't been able to get past the smell. It's a little too strong for me. One day. I mean, I never thought I'd like onions and now I love 'em. I also need to make fancier drinks.

  7. Yum. Fizzy cocktails work so well in the heat.

And I forgot to ask - how did last week go with your deadlines?!?
