Pick-Me-Up... Prosecco Floats

julipmade280
Peach Bellini and Blackberry Raspberry.
The other night, while trying to decide what cupcakes to make for a friend's birthday, I stared into my fridge and saw a bottle of Prosecco.  Right then I knew I was making Strawberry Peach Bellini cupcakes and a special treat for myself on the side... Prosecco Floats.  We had two flavors of sorbet in the fridge so I did a little experimenting and I think... came up with the perfect summer dessert cocktail.

Ingredients:
  • Prosecco
  • Sorbet (really any flavor works)
  • Fresh fruit (really any fruit works)

  1. Make quenelles of the sorbet using two tablespoons.  Or just plop a scoop right in your cup.
  2. Fill the rest of the cup with prosecco.
  3. Top with fresh fruit.  Yes, it is that easy, but sooo yummy!

This can also make an easy, but impressive dessert/ cocktail for an impromptu party. What are your favorite cold treats for the summer?

  8. Oh. My. Gosh. I am definitely trying this for the 4th of July. Yum. I love Prosecco - we buy a ton of it from Trader Joe's.

You should start offering some cooking classes on the side. I'll sign up!
